My rogues' gallery

Julia from Hooked on Houses is hosting Hooked on Fridays today.
Head on over to see what other folks are hooked on.

In the last year, I'd venture to guess that I've taken over ten thousand photographs. Some of them have turned out pretty nice, and it's been fun to share them with you on this blog. A few of them have popped out as favorites, and I've been looking for an economical way to frame them and have a little gallery wall in my dining room.

So today I'm hooked on glass clip frames.

I ordered these from amazon.com. They come in all sizes, and I've lined up five 16" x 20" frames along my wall. The tiny silver clips tightly sandwich the photograph between the glass and a thin masonite board. There is no need to dry mount the photograph or use any sort of mat, and it's very easy to change out the photos whenever the mood strikes.

I used myphotopipe to print the photographs. They do an incredible job, and they're fast, too. I sized the images at 11" x 15" with a 2.5" white border to give the effect of a mat.

For a very small investment, my dining room wall is now filled with art, albeit homegrown.

Very nice Linda. I have never heard of Myphotopipe. And, I like the idea of the glass clip frames. I'll check those out on Amazon for some of my photos.

Regards,

Dan

Homegrown art is the best kind...I'd rather look at something I know rather than someone I didn't...

I've always thought those glass frames had a nice clean, simple feel. Nice pic of the horse!

I LIKE it! Sure beats what I've been paying to have stuff framed!

I'll have to check out the myphotopipe.com website. The frames look great! Ikea also has some really cool, different, inexpensive frames (not sure if you have a store nearby) as well.

Yes, 'homegrown art' is THE best and the simple glass frames are just perfect ... my favorite by far.

Your photos deserve to be displayed, that's for sure! :-)

This might make it easier to take the pictures off of the refrigerator and onto the walls where they belong. Great idea.

That is a great idea! My Mom was suggesting making notecards with some of my one bloom flower pictures. I too take thousands and welcome ideas for using them in other ways.

Followed your over from PW- I love the shots of the sunset, and the black cat on the fence. What a great moment to capture, hehehee.

I've been framing & hanging some of my own photographs, as well. It was interesting to me, the effort that was required for me to acknowledge that my own work might be 'good enough' to hang and it has served as a form of validation.

Your work is outstanding and a simple frame is often the best way to showcase a work of art.

I like the idea of having the white border on them--you know what else would be cool--putting black behind them in those frames and going with a larger frame as well.

Cute idea you had there

Thanks for sharing your review of myphotopipe! I, too, am interested in getting nice prints of my work.....
