Skywatch Friday with George

There was a little jealousy in the ranks when I featured Lyle in last week's Skywatch post, so this week, George agreed to stand still...without any toys in his mouth and without Alan by his side. Will wonders never cease?

I'm still getting the hang of this Skywatch thing. It's called Skywatch Friday, but the links activate on Thursday, which means I have to shoot a decent sky picture on Wednesday, but since I never know what day it is anyway... Could somebody out there please write a "Skywatch for Dummies"? I do know that if you go to the Skywatch blog any day of the week, you can see a lot of cool sky pictures.

  6. Well, I have wanted to join in on Skywatch, but I am confused as well. It seems to me, friday posting is almost too late? If you get clarification, pass it on. I still have pictures I am waiting to post....but want to post on the right day. Love this one of George. He is so regal.

  15. Great SWF photo. There's nothing quite like a NM evening!

It took me a while to figure out the timing for blogs originating way outside my time zone. I guess it's Friday for Sky Watch when it first becomes Friday anywhere. :)

  19. What a life for your four-legged friends. I've just discovered you magical blog through skywatch and am enthralled!
When will we see an episode from "The Merchant of Venice", "On
the Waterfront", "Phantom of the Opers" or "My Fair Lady". After all, you have the perfect stage, audience and shooting equipment.
Don't think this is just an assenine comment, I'm serious. They're stars whether doing a supporting act to a perfect sky or high jinks on their own.

  21. Another great photo featuring another one of my favourite herd members.

Thank you for explaining why these Skywatch Friday posts have been showing up on Thursdays....I thought I was in some kind of time warp thingy. I know I'm in Canada and everything, but come on! It was really messing with my head.

Thank you for clearing that up for me.

Now, I can relax and enjoy the view.

  24. This whole thing about posting on thursday was in the air yesterday. I asked the same thing to many, never got an answer. Thought about it all last night. Thought I was going crazy. I figured because it was started over seas, it was a time issue????????????? Still don't get it.

I love your capture. I love the crispness of the colors and of course George.

This was only my second skywatch. I love being a part of something so large;)
