It's had me thinking for days now. I have to say, Buck is a far better person than I to have been so patient and dare I say forgiving of the woman.

And yes, when I saw his body language after he loaded the horse onto the trailer, even while he was loading, I could just read every emotion. It about killed me. Makes me wonder how often clinicians have to deal with horses like the yellow one, let alone their owners.Jeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02206342024283098691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4771557388430184941.post-32858266050703709852011-11-04T21:51:17.521-06:002011-11-04T21:51:17.521-06:00I want to see this movie so bad!! and I can't ...I want to see this movie so bad!! and I can't seem to find it anywhere. However, in the movie section to buy....guess what I found? Yep I found Buck! And I'm going to purchase it, and most likely shake the TV at the moronic people who fail their horses and take away something beautiful from all of his teachings. I don't have the chance to own horses at this point in my life; though I have in the past and all of my horses were full of character, mischief and personality. They all had their own "vices" thanks to their prior owners who helped them become who they were, but I never had any qualms in riding them. They were all sweet hearts; I miss my warm blood every day, for he was special!GeckoGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00616793078634664590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4771557388430184941.post-41585602972933323002011-11-03T11:57:12.890-06:002011-11-03T11:57:12.890-06:00I really loved what he had to say as he walked awa...I really loved what he had to say as he walked away---someone asked him why he had been so gentle and he said it never occurred to him to be mad at the horse.Carlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14685492126157550044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4771557388430184941.post-92159801298104661352011-11-03T11:47:58.903-06:002011-11-03T11:47:58.903-06:00That is one fantastic movie; loved the same scenes...That is one fantastic movie; loved the same scenes you pictured, they say so much! However, I think the biggest thing you can take away with you from either the movie, or his book "The Faraway Horses", is that no matter your past, you have the freedom of choice to make what you want of your life/future. You don't have to be shaped into a bad lifetime due to a bad past. You can learn from it and move on. That's where his sensitivity to the horses comes from. A huge lesson....
JuanitaAllenspark Lodgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06390004633731055728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4771557388430184941.post-27420943631732374332011-11-03T10:34:19.378-06:002011-11-03T10:34:19.378-06:00This looks like a movie I need to check out. The movie gave me a lot to think about, and I've watched it 3 times now on Netflix.
I still don't know what to do with my orphaned problem horse, but I'm sure glad I don't have anything like that stallion.
