Thank goodness. Unfortunately, our neighbor caught one of the kittens in a trap and took the poor thing to the pound. We have the other two in the old dog kennel (with lattice on top) and they have a scratching post, a log to climb, and plenty of food and water, and they are calming down. In fact, they were both sitting and waiting for their breakfast this morning! We haven't seen the mother now for over a week so hopefully she has found a new neighborhood...
Cheryl AnnCheryl Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04211625006758463474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4771557388430184941.post-4843600763691982642014-10-30T00:54:38.994-06:002014-10-30T00:54:38.994-06:00At one time we lived in the country and our Mom Ca...At one time we lived in the country and our Mom Cat had a litter. One of the males was born with a backward foot, and our vet took the foot and part of his leg off. We called him Hopalong Catsidy and he did fine. Then he found the joys of hunting. I was astounded the first time he came home with a rabbit in his mouth almost as big as he was, but it was only the beginning. Daily he found something to catch, play with and then kill, all from the woods behind our house. I couldn't have stopped him, nor did I want to. Hoppie was a great hunter and his little handicap didn't seem to bother him in anyway.

Jo and StellaJo's Worldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07004590496962477481noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4771557388430184941.post-76581617396894260592014-10-29T19:56:14.625-06:002014-10-29T19:56:14.625-06:00I have loved cats all my life and I have cleaned u...I have loved cats all my life and I have cleaned up the bloodied remains of their hunting prowess.
